Shillong, Apr 30: Meghalaya Chief Minister Conrad Sangma, on Thursday, informed that all the 8 family members of the first COVID-19 patient, who had tested positive for the virus have recovered.
This comes a day after the results of all the 8 patients tested negative and their samples were sent for retesting.
Taking to twitter, the Chief Minister wrote, “All 8 family members of index case are found negative in the second retest done.”
He also informed that two other positive cases who were being treated at Civil Hospital, Shillong have tested negative.
“They are in the process of recovery. They will have to be tested again after 24 hours as per protocol to declare them as recovered,” the Chief Minister added.
