Brolding Nongsiej alloted water resources & civil defence and home guard
Shillong, Sep 23: Newly appointed minister from the United Democratic Party (UDP) H Brolding Nongsiej was on Monday allotted his portfolios.
MLA from Mawthadraishan, who was sworn in as a Cabinet Minister on September 18 will take charge as minister of Water Resources and Civil Defence and Home Guards, official sources informed.
According to sources, the other portfolios held by former minister, Metbah Lyngdoh will be handled by Chief Minister, Conrad Sangma.
The other portfolios include Tourism and Excise.
It may be mentioned that, Lyngdoh was elected as Meghalaya Assembly Speaker on September13, defeating Congress nominee, Winnerson D Sangma.
