CBI grills Kolkata police chief for 8 hours

SHILLONG, Feb 9: Kolkata Police Chief Rajeev Kumar on Saturday was grilled for eight hours in the CBI Office in Shillong.

Kumar was quizzed by the CBI in connection with the infamous Saradha scam. The Kolkata Police Chief came to the CBI office at Oakland at around 10:50 am amidst tight security.

His questioning took place shortly after he arrived and continued till 7 pm in the evening.

His questioning took place in the office of the CBI, Shillong located at Oakland locality.

Apart from the office of the CBI the area in and around Oakland was heavily fortified amidst presence of huge contingent of media persons from all around the country especially, Kolkata.

Meanwhile, Kumar’s interrogation will continue on Sunday even as former Rajya Sabha MP of the Trinamool Congress, Kunal Ghosh has also been summoned for questioning.

According to reports both Kumar and Ghosh may face each other during the interrogation on Sunday.
