COVID-19: Meghalaya records 86 new cases, 91 recovers

SHILLONG, Nov 6: Meghalaya on Friday recorded 86 new COVID-19 cases and 91 new recoveries, health authorities informed.

With his the number of active cases is at 984 while the total recovered cases stand at 8904, and the State has recorded 91 deaths.

Of the new cases East Garo Hills recorded 25, East Khasi Hills 21, Ri-Bhoi 13, West Garo Hills 10, East Jaintia Hills six, West Jaintia Hills five, South West Garo Hills four and South Garo Hills two.

On the 91 recovered cases East Khasi Hills recorded 70 (armed/paramilitary forces one and others 69), West Garo Hills eight (armed/paramilitary forces two and others six), West Jaintia Hills seven, East Jaintia Hills four, East Garo Hills one and R-Bhoi one (armed/paramilitary forces).

Till date a total of 2, 08, 730 samples have been tested for COVID-19 out of which 1, 98, 751 samples tested negative and the number of entrants into Meghalaya are 55, 710.

Meghalaya till date has 9979 confirmed COVID-19 cases out of which 984 are active 8904 have recovered and 91 died of the virus.
