COVID-19: State records 70 new cases and 87 recoveries

SHILLONG, Nov 13: The State today recorded 70 new COVID-19 cases and 87 recovered from the viral infection, health authorities informed.

With this the number of active cases is now 1028 and the total number of recovered cases are 9455.

Director of Health Services (MI), Dr. Aman War informed that 31 new cases were recorded in East Khasi Hill, 19 in Ri-Bhoi, six in East Garo Hills and West Garo Hills, three in South Garo Hills, two in East Jaintia Hills and South West Garo Hills and one in West Jaintia Hills.

Of the 87 new recoveries Dr. War informed that 44 were in East Khasi Hills (armed and paramilitary forces one, others 43), 18 in West Jaintia Hills, 10 in East Jaintia Hills, eight in West Garo Hills, three East Garo Hills, two in North Garo Hills and one each in Ri-Bhoi and West Khasi Hills.

Ri-Bhoi has the most number of active cases with 324.

Dr. War also informed that the total number of persons tested till date are 218315 of which 207734 tested negative.

The Director of Health Services also informed that 58328 persons have entered the State till date.
