Shillong, Jan 19: Meghalaya on Tuesday, recorded three new COVID-19 cases and 18 recovered from the viral infection, health authorities informed.
Director of Health Services (MI), Dr. Aman War informed that the three new cases were recorded in East Khasi Hills.
Dr. War said that of the 18 recoveries, West Jaintia Hills recorded 14 new cases, East Jaintia Hills two and East Khasi Hills two.
With the number of recoveries outnumbering the fresh ones for the day, the active cases has come down to 133 and the total recovered cases stands at 13433.
East Khasi Hills still remains the most affected district with 101 cases even as South West Khasi Hills, South West Garo Hills, South Garo Hills and East Garo Hills are currently free from the virus.
The total number of persons tested for COVID-19 in Meghalaya till Tuesday afternoon are 3, 20, 181 out of which 3, 06, 471 samples yielded negative results.
Dr. War also informed that a total of 84, 347 persons have entered the State till Tuesday afternoon since restrictions on travelling were eased.
The state has so far recorded 13710 confirmed COVID-19 cases out of which 13433 have recovered, 133 are active cases and 144 deaths were recorded till date.
