Curfew extended in Shillong and adjoining areas

Shillong, Mar 6: Curfew has been extended in Shillong agglomeration and adjoining areas from 10:00 pm of Friday to 5:00 am Saturday.

According to an order released by M War Nongbri, District Magistrate, East Khasi Hills, areas under curfew include: the whole of Municipal Area, Whole of Cantonment area, all areas under Mawlai and Mawpat Block including Census Towns.

Section 144 Cr. P.C has also been imposed in areas under Mylliem Block from Umshyrpi bridge upto 7th mile, Upper Shillong. Madanrting, Mawhlei, Laitkor, Nongkseh, Umlyngka, Lawsohtun, Mawdiangdiang, Diengiong and Seijiong have also been placed under curfew.
