Ex-MLA Constantine passes away, Speaker condoles

Shillong, Sept 18: Former MLA Constantine Lyngdoh passed away at a government run hospital in Shillong on Wednesday after a prolonged illness.
He was 56. The funeral will beheld on September 20.
Born in the year 1963, Constantine had served as Member of Meghalaya Legislative Assembly for one term from Nongpoh constituency.
He defeated former chief minister Dr DD Lapang in 1993 from HSPDP party.
Condolences
Expressing grief at the demise of the former MLA, Meghalaya assembly speaker, Metbah Lyngdoh expressed deep sorrow and sadness on the sudden passing away of the former MLA.
The speaker also recalled the ex MLA amiable nature and service to the people.
In a condolence message, the speaker on behalf of the Members of the Meghalaya Legislative Assembly conveyed heartfelt condolences to the family members, and prayed that his soul may rest in peace.
