Shillong, Oct 16: Persons quarantined in government run Corona Care Centres in East Khasi Hills District will now have to pay Rs. 380 for food per day, informed Deputy Commissioner Isawanda Laloo.
The rate was approved by the COVID Response Task Force, the notification from the EKH DC’s office read.
Residents can opt for home food delivery, however they will have to register this option during admittance itself.
Persons under the BPL category will be exempted from paying for food.
“Such persons will have to furnish Yellow (AYY) or Pink (PHH) NFSA Ration Card. They will need to show the original NFSA card at the Corona Care Centre at the time of admission. Alternatively, it can be brought to the Centre by a family member within 5 days of their stay or intimated to the Centre Manager for collection from the person’s home,” the notification read.
Residents who do not possess Ration Card but claim to be BPL, their verification and certification can be given by the BDO/ Magistrate concerned, it stated.
