James removed from Home department

SHILLONG, Feb 11: James K Sangma on Tuesday was stripped of his Home portfolio in a late night reshuffle of the cabinet by Chief Minister Conrad Sangma.

In the reshuffle, the Home portfolio has been given to UDP minister, Lahkmen Rymbui.

James also was stripped of his portfolio of District Council Affairs. The portfolio has been given to PDF minister Hamletson Dohling.

James who retains Power, Food, Civil Supplies and Consumer Affairs and Law has been given additional charge of Taxation and Information and Public Relations.

Meanwhile, BJP minister, A. L. Hek was given additional charge of Home (Jails) and Home (Passport) in addition to Health and Family Welfare and Arts and Culture.
