KSU urge nursing council to grant licence to students awaiting results

Shillong, Sept 23: The Education Cell of the Khasi Students’ Union (KSU) has written to the Registrar Meghalaya Nursing Council requesting the granting of licence to nursing students who are awaiting their results.

In the letter the education cell of the KSU has requested that due to the pandemic COVID 19, students who have recently passed out from their respective Colleges/ Institutes/ Universities from outside the State of Meghalaya are not being able to apply for license as they are not able to procure their original mark-sheet from their respective institutes as they are unable to travel.

The KSU further stated because the
institutes are yet to reopen they aren’t able to procure their original marksheet.

“This have severely hamper their careers as they are at halt and unable to proceed anywhere for no fault of theirs,” the KSU said.

The Education Cell of the union has requested the Registrar to allow the students who are seeking for license to be able to apply after they have produce their downloaded mark-sheet and after it has been duly verified so that their careers would not be at stake.
