Shillong, Nov 24: The MDA Coordination Committee, which will meet November 26, will include discussions on allegations of corruption in Garo Hills Autonomous District Council and Jaintia Hills Autonomous District Council, Deputy Chief Minister Prestone Tynsong informed today.
Responding to questions on whether the BJP will be a part of the meet, he said that BJP MLAs A. L Hek and Sanbor Shullai will be representing the saffron party in the meet, indicating that BJP state president Ernest Mawrie and Vice President Bernard Marak will not be in attendance.
Reiterating his stance on BJP’s continuous allegations against the MDA government, he said that if the BJP feels uncomfortable being a part of the coalition, they should leave MDA.
It may be noted that the BJP has moved Meghalaya Lokayukta over alleged misappropriation of funds in the two district councils.
Meanwhile, BJP National Vice President Chuba Ao arrived in Shillong earlier today to reportedly sort out the BJP-NPP fallout in the state.
