Meghalaya Police fines Rs 22,000 to vehicle plying with invalid pass

Shillong, Apr 18: Meghalaya Police, on Saturday, compounded a vehicle for plying with an invalid pass, without permit and pollution under control (PUC) certificate. The vehicle was allegedly found by Seng Samla Malki’s vigilance committee.

The vehicle bearing the number ML 05 P0167 reportedly had an invalid pass. An FIR was lodged at Laitumkhrah Police Station following which a legal action was taken and police compounded Rs 22,000 from one Mukesh Kumar. Further details on the matter is awaited.
