Meghalaya records another 19 new COVID-19 cases

SHILLONG, Jul 30: Meghalaya recorded 19 active cases in the last 24 hours, the Health department informed.

Director of Health Service (MI), Dr. Aman Warr informed that East Khasi Hills accounted for 15 of the new cases (BSF 13, civilians 2), West Jaintia Hills 1, South Garo Hills 1 and West Garo Hills 2.

So far the Meghalaya has 588 active cases out of which East Khasi Hills has 491 cases (BSF 254, civilians 203, armed forces 34), West Khasi Hills 4, Ri-Bhoi 44, West Jaintia Hills 14, East Jaintia Hills 15, West Garo Hills 15, South West Garo Hills 4, South Garo Hills 1.

The number of samples sent for testing till Thursday are 35572, samples tested negative 34657 and reports awaited 112.
