Shillong, Feb 15: Meghalaya on Monday did not record any COVID-19 cases even as 21 persons recovered from the virus, health authorities informed.
Director of Health Services (MI), Dr. Aman War informed that of the 21 recovered cases – eight are from East Khasi Hills district, 11 from Ri-Bhoi district and two from East Jaintia Hills district.
Dr. War said that with the 21 recovered cases on Monday, the number of active cases has dropped to 128 and the total recovered cases stands at 13666.
East Khasi Hill, the most affected district has 90 active cases.
The total number of persons tested for COVID-19 till date is 3, 54, 931 out of which 3, 40, 989 tested negative for the virus. The state has recorded a total of 13942 confirmed COVID-19 cases till date out of which 148 have expired.
Dr. War also informed that the total number of health care workers vaccinated for COVID-19 in the first dose is 12034 and in the second dose its 173, while the total number of frontline workers vaccinated is 2859 (first dose).
The Director of Health Services also informed that since restrictions on travelling were eased a total number of 91, 488 persons have entered the state from within the country and outside.
