Meghalaya records three more COVID-19 deaths

SHILLONG, Sep 28: Meghalaya on Monday recorded three more deaths due to COVID-19 taking the number of fatalities to 46. According to health authorities the three deaths are from East Khasi Hills district, even as details are awaited.

Health authorities also informed that the number of recovered cases outnumbered the new cases.

On Monday, new recoveries was recorded at 89 taking the number of such cases to 3868, while the new cases recorded on Monday was 60. With this the number of active cases in Meghalaya is 1448.

As on Monday, swab samples of 1, 45, 681 persons have been sent for testing out of which 1, 40,319 samples tested negative.

Till date, Meghalaya has registered 5180 COVID 19 cases out of which 1,448 are active, 46 deceased and 3,686 recoveries.
