Meghalaya to revise cost of COVID-19 testing after Durga Puja

Shillong, Oct 21: Meghalaya Chief Minister Conrad Sangma today chaired a review meeting on the COVID-19 Pandemic.

Speaking to reporters after, he said that draft revised protocols for testing, quarantine and short-term visitors to the state were discussed.

He said that the cost of testing for coronavirus will also be finalised after Durga Puja celebrations.

Meanwhile, responding to questions regarding the issue of alleged discrimination against Hindu Communities in the state, and the backlash by pressure groups that followed it, he said that the state government will ensure that that proper communication and steps are undertaken so that these issues are resolved.

“Ichamati, there is no complication, there is no issue as such and whatever the confusion has arisen because of these comments by groups can be resolved. We are on the process of communicating,” he said.
