Meghalaya: Two more dies of COVID-19, state records 179 new recoveries

SHILLONG, Sep 22: Meghalaya on Tuesday recorded two more COVID-19 deaths pushing the toll to 40.

In the first case, Sudip Karmakar 41 years was declared brought dead at Woodland Hospital and his swab samples were tested positive for COVID-19, health authorities informed.

The second case was that of Abdul Hazin, 60 years was also declared brought dead to Nazareth Hospital, he also tested positive for COVID-19.

Meanwhile, Meghalaya on Tuesday recorded 179 new recovered cases, East Khasi Hills recorded the maximum with 141, West Garo Hills 22, Ri-Bhoi eight, East Jaintia Hills three, South Garo Hills and West Jaintia Hills two each and East Garo Hills one.
