Meghalaya’s lone active COVID-19 patient recovered: CM

Shillong, May 18: Meghalaya Chief Minister Conrad Sangma, on Monday, revealed the the second retest of the last COVID-19 patient of the state was conducted and the result came out negative.
Taking to Twitter, he said, “Second Retest of the lone active case (positive patient) was done again, and the test has come out negative. The patient can be declared as recovered.”
On Sunday the Chief Minister had informed that the state will maintain its current restrictions since stranded citizens from other parts of the country are returning to the state.
However, as of yet, no returnee has tested positive for the virus.
