Mine tragedy: Rescuers detect body
SHILLONG, Jan 17: The Underwater Remotely Controlled Vehicle (UROV) of the Indian Navy diver on Wednesday evening detected a body of one of the miners trapped in an illegal coal mine since December 13.
Spokesperson of the rescue operation, R Susngi on Thursday afternoon informed that on Wednesday evening in a joint operation of the Indian Navy and the NDRF confirmed that Indian Navy ROV had detected a body 200 feet from the main shaft.
Susngi also informed that presently a meeting is on how best can the decomposed body be retrieved or otherwise.
