SHILLONG, Sep 4: Two Opposition MLAs including former Chief Minister – Dr Mukul Sangma and his younger brother, Zenith Sangma are yet to vacate their respective bungalows which were suppose to be handed over to ministers of the present MDA government.
The two government bungalows include Goodwood bungalow at Oakland and the other at Lumpynngad.
According to sources, there are two ministers who are yet to get government bungalow, including chief minister, Conrad K Sangma and education minister, Lakmen Rymbui.
Since, Dr Mukul who is the leader of Opposition is still occupying the house, the Chief Minister is staying in his own house in 4th mile, Upper Shillong.
Once vacated from Goodwood bungalow, Dr Mukul will shift to Sherwood bungalow which was earlier occupied by former Chief Minister, D.D. Lapang.
Meanwhile, Lakmen too has to continue his stay in a rented house since the government bungalow allotted to him, is yet to be vacated by Zenith Sangma, sources informed.
Sources further informed that the renovation work of the Sherwood bungalow and the bungalow at Lumpynngad is completed.
