No COVID-19 test for NEET and JEE aspirants

Shillong, Sept 3: Health Minister A. L Hek, on Thursday, stated that he held a discussion with Chief Minister Conrad Sangma to not test students appearing for National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET) on the day of the exam, i.e. on September 13.

This comes days after the after the Meghalaya Government informed that NEET and Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) will be conducted this month.

“For students appearing their exams on the 13th of September, to avoid any kind of fear psychosis or mental distraction, I discussed with the chief minister and I said that it is very logical and practical, they should not be disturbed,” Hek said.

He said that if students can provide their identity cards to prove they are appearing for the NEET exam. “They don’t need to go through any test before going or exiting also – they should be free only on that particular day,” he said.
