Protocols for Entry of individuals stranded Outside discussed: Meghalaya CM

Shillong, Apr 24: Meghalaya chief minister Conrad Sangma, on Friday, informed that protocols for the entry and surveillance of individuals stranded outside the state due to the lock down imposed because of COVID-19 was discussed.

He tweeted, “we should have the protocols ready in the next couple of days.”

Meanwhile, it was also informed that the total number of sample sent for testing till date stands at 1130 out of which 1048 samples have tested negative. The results of 70 are awaited and the number of active COVID-19 cases remain 11.

It was also informed that all primary contacts under home quarantine are being visited by a team of doctors in their residences and being monitored closely.

For other 48 teams were formed by the deputy commissioner’s office in East Khasi hills to make home with its for all the secondary contacts. The government advised all the other individuals under home quarantine to self isolate for 14 days and to report if anyone of the symptoms appear.

It was informed that line listing is being conducted by ASHAs in all the districts and village health teams have been constituted In all districts, which comprises of 4 to 5 members, including headman, ASHA, AWW, ANW, and a School teacher.
