Returnee from Maharashtra tests positive for COVID-19

Shillong, June 7: Meghalaya Chief Minister Conrad Sangma informed that a person returning from Maharashtra has tested positive for COVID-19 on Sunday.

This takes the total active coronavirus cases in the state to 20.

He tweeted, “Another resident of Meghalaya who has come from Maharashtra has tested positive for COVID19.”

He also said that the person is under quarrantine in East Khasi Hills.

Total cases 34; Active cases 20; Recovered 13;
Deceased 1.”

Over 13,000 stranded Meghalaya residents have re-entered the state till date.
