Testing points to be set up in Khyndailad and Ïewduh

SHILLONG, Aug 16: The Director of Health Services Director of Health Services (MI), Dr. Aman Warr informed that from Monday, testing points will be set up in Khyndailad (Police Bazar) and Ïewduh the two largest commercial hubs in Shillong where people will be tested randomly.

Dr. Warr said that this decision has been taken in view of a number of persons being tested positive where the contacts are not known.

He informed that there are 24 such positive persons.

He said that this is being done since many are asymptomatic but are positive.

The Director of Health Services said that those tested may be a shop owner, an employee or a customer.

Dr. Warr also said that random testing will also be conducted at Jhalupara from Monday.
