There are 21 Weighbridges in Meghalaya

Shillong, Mar 28: The Transport department has informed that there are 21 Weighbridges in the State.
In East Khasi Hills there are two – Iew Syiem and Majai, Porlakait in West Khasi Hills, three in South West Khasi Hills – Cherragaon, Borsora and Bagli.
There are four Weighbridges in Ri-Bhoi district – Killing, Umling (Entry/Exit point) and Narbong, three in West Jaintia Hills – Phramer (8th Mile), Garampani (Saphai) and Amsarin, two In East Jaintia Hills – Umtyr-a and Ratacherra, two in West Garo Hills – Dalu and Tikrikilla, two in South Garo Hills district – Gasuapara and Masighat and two in North Garo Hills district – Depagarat and Wageasi.
The revenue collected from each Weighbridges in the last five years are Iew Syiem – Rs. 1, 00, 31, 875, Majai – Rs. 3, 94, 93, 884, Porlakait – Rs. 30, 75, 100, Cherragaon – Rs. 1, 33, 02, 000, Borsora – Rs. 7, 25, 04, 550, Bagli – Rs. 75, 03, 950, Killing – Rs. 43, 18, 500, Umling (Entry point) – Rs. 2,78, 82, 002, Umling (Exit point) – Rs. 5, 73, 01, 385, Narbong – Rs. 91, 90, 100, 8th Mile (Phramer) – Rs. 14, 58, 500, Garampani (Saphai) – Rs. 15, 35, 800, Amsarin – Rs. 2, 00, 66, 002, Umtyr-a – Rs, 6, 45, 84, 701, Ratacherra – Rs. 9, 11, 71, 010, Dalu – Rs. 33, 86, 200, Gasuapara – Rs. 31, 99, 000 and Depagarat – Rs. 3, 39, 07, 900.
The Weighbridges at Tikrikilla, Masighat and Wageasi are newly notified.
The Transport department also informed that six Weighbridges are run by them and 15 are run by lessee.
