Shillong, Jan 7: Three districts of the state – South West Khasi Hills, South West Garo Hills and East Garo Hills on Thursday recorded no COVID-19 positive cases.
East Khasi Hills district still remains the most affected with 110 active cases, and 115 fatalities.
Director of Health Services (MI), Dr. Aman War informed that the state recorded 11 new cases of which eight are from East Khasi Hills out of which one is a health worker and one each from North Garo Hills, West Jaintia Hills and West Khasi Hills.
Of the 27 new recovered cases registered on Thursday, 15 were from East Khasi Hills, 10 from Ri-Bhoi and one each from East Garo Hills and West Khasi Hills.
With this the number of active cases in the state are 138 and the total recovered cases stands at 13257.
Dr. War also informed that till Thursday afternoon a total number of 3, 01, 969 persons were tested for COVID-19 out of which 2, 88, 433 tested negative.
The number of persons who entered the state after travelling into Meghalaya was eased stands at 80, 504.
