UDP will win majority in district council polls

SHILLONG, Feb 26: United Democratic Party (UDP) working president, Paul Lyngdoh, on Tuesday said that the party will win majority on its own in both the Khasi Hills Autonomous District Council (KHADC) and Jaintia Hill Autonomous District Council (JHADC) polls.
Lyngdoh said that as of today, the UDP does not need the help of other parties to form the Executive Committees (EC) in both the district councils.
“We will decide then. As of now we feel we can manage on our own,” the UDP working president said.
“If we need help we will decide then,” Lyngdoh added.
