Attestation parade held to mark entry of 83 constables

Shillong, Nov 18: A total of 83 well-trained recruits joined the Meghalaya police on Wednesday.

An Attestation Parade for the 42nd Batch of Recruit Constables was held today to mark the induction of 83 personnel in 1st MLP Bn., Armed Police Training Center, Mawiong, Shillong.

The 83 personnel were inducted after undergoing a rigorous basic training module, which included training on maintenance of Law & Order, Counter Insurgency Operations, and various other indoor/outdoor subjects.

Home Minister Lahkmen Rymbui graced the parade as the Chief Guest and reviewed the parade which was organised with grandeur and success.

Among the police officials who attended the passing out parade were Shri. R. Chandrananthan, IPS Director General of Police, Smti. I. Nongrang, IPS Addl. Director General of Police (L&O/TAP), Shri. H. Nongpluh, IPS Addl. Director General of Police (SB/CID) and other senior officers.

The parade was led by BNRC Dahunpara Marpan of 4th MLP Bn. As Parade Commander and RC Seinbormitre Patwet of F&ES as 2nd-In-Command, Recruit Constables who were awarded today for their meritorious feat during the training period were, RC Seinbormitre Patwet of F&ES (Best Trainee inExemplary), RC Fredi Sumer of MPRO (Best Trainee in Drill), RC Mukesh Hajong of MPRO (Best Trainee in Shooting), BNRC Dahunpara Marpan of 4th MLP Bn. (Best Trainee in Outdoor), ABRC Richard Donaldson Thongngi of East Khasi Hills D.E.F. (Best Trainee in Weapon) and BNRC Dahunpara Marpan of 4th MLP Bn. (All Round Best Trainee).
