SHILLONG May 22: Bethany Hospital which was closed after it’s Director and owner Dr. John L Sailo Ryntathiang succumbed to COVID-19 on April 15, about 48 hours after he was found positive to the virus, is all set to open again on Saturday.
“We have missed seeing our patients and we are excited to inform that the hospital will be fully operational finally after a forty day-shutdown and we cannot wait to see them back in the practice,” Dr. Kyntiewlang Sanmiet, Quality Manager, Nodal Officer & Spokesperson, Bethany Hospital, Shillong said.
Dr Sanmiet said that even before this announcement, the hospital authorities have been working on a reopening plan to ensure the safety of both the patients and staff and the hospital has been fully sanitised as per government guidelines.
He also said that the hospital have also re-instituted it’s policies and polished its ways of working to prevent viral
transmission and we want to share the good news that none of our staff was tested positive for COVID-19.
“As we move towards a new normal, be assured that we will do our best to continuously deliver quality patient care and hopefully, this reopening will serve as a beacon of hope for the rest of our staff, patrons and well-wishers,” Dr Sanmiet said.
It may be mentioned that the hospital will re-open on Saturday at 12 noon.
