Body of trapped miner pulled up to mouth of rat-hole mine

SHILLONG, Jan 17: Rescuers has been able to retrieve the body of one of the miner who was trapped in a flooded coal mine in Khloo Ryngksan area under Lumthari Village, East Jaintia Hills district since December 13.

In a tweet on Thursday afternoon, the Indian Navy said, the body has been pulled upto the mouth of Rat-hole mine and shall be extracted out of the mine under the supervision of doctors.

It may be mentioned that on Wednesday evening the Underwater Remotely Controlled Vehicle of the Indian Navy detected a body of one of the trapped miners.
