Shillong, May 11: The total number of samples tested for COVID-19 in Meghalaya, till Monday, is 2480. 2342 results have come out negative and 125 results are still awaited.
The number of patients tested positive for the virus remains 13 out of which 10 patients have recovered, one died and there are two active cases.
Addressing his daily briefing, Deputy Chief Minister, Prestone Tynsong informed that the government is yet to receive the report of the person samples sent for testing on Monday.
The Deputy Chief Minister also informed that till today, the 3030 citizens of Meghalaya stranded within Northeast have reached the state.
“8000 students and individuals of the state stranded outside the region have registered themselves with the government,” he added.
The Deputy Chief Minister also stated that they will have to go through rapid tests in respective entry points.
The Deputy Chief Minister meanwhile informed that the citizens stranded outside NE will be brought back only by trains and flight services.
