As someone quoted that “No great man lives in vain. The history of the world is but the biography of great men” It is indeed that (L) Dr John Sailo Ryntathiang was a great man amongst the great men, a humble soft spoken, big hearted and generous man, however sadly the world had to witness an unfortunate event a victim of COVID-19 and untimely passed away leaving behind a legacy to always remember.

Born on 10 Oct 1951, late Dr John L Sailo Ryntathiang was the eldest son of Late Capt. LR Sailo and late Mrs D. Ryntathiang, he had a young sister Late J Sailo Ryntathiang.

He was also the grandson of a famous Doctor from Mizoram, Dr Lukira Ngente.

We all knew him as a person who unrelentlessly worked for the benefit of many and his service to the society as a whole cannot be unremembered. He was a person blessed with a special gift of benevolence, and farsightedness, serving, helping, uplifting and loving the mankind was the most important thing for him as a person, he took it as a top priority and with that in mind and along with the blessing of the heavenly father he started his journey of serving the mankind by taking the humble beginning of his medical journey, his services in the medical field cannot be forgetted and cannot go unnoticed as well , there are times where he could go beyond and extending an extra help to the needy, we cannot forget that,  he had a vision to cater to the areas where medical facility was absent and in his service he took the initiative to start rural health services where he was even awarded  and applauded by many.

Let us all not forget this, let us remember to pay respect and to always commemorate his service to the society.

Many of us may perhaps see him as a Doctor who was indeed doing the great medical service but let us also not forget he is more than a Doctor to those who have met him, to those who have received his help. He was a man who had a special blessing to serve the people not only by his medical service but   also serving the people through the word of God, this may perhaps seen by few people, throughout his lifetime, he was a man who have always put God before anything, and God had also showered him with all the blessings, teaching and inspiring people to follow the word of God and to be God fearing.

Apart from his medical profession he was an avid agricultural entrepreneur who had a deep interest on farming, livestock farming etc, a farming entrepreneur of his own, perhaps many are inspired by his farming skills which he had attained through years of experience, this indeed was an inspiration to many who have known him.

He was a self made entrepreneur of his own, who had always said that people cannot go unemployed they can become employers to many, his entrepreneur skills cannot go unnoticed in this regard and until now even if he is not amidst us he still inspires us through his entrepreneurial deeds that he had left for us to follow.

He had a special love for the place called Nongpoh and Ri Bhoi as a whole, and that love is seen as a deed he had done for the region by setting up health facilities and given employment to many and an opportunity for everyone to stand in their own feet.

His benovelance cannot also go unnoticed and unmentioned, he was a family man filled with unconditional love for everyone a man who loved music and passionate for it.

It is indeed a sad and very unfortunate event that the world had to witness his untimely demise, let us pay respect to the man who have done so much, who have taught to love, to fear God and to contribute to the society in whatever possible way we can. Let us all remember his good deeds.
