Former employees of Agriculture still await pension

SHILLONG, January 17: Retired employees of Directorate of Agriculture of the government of Meghalaya are feeling letdown with the dilly-dallying of some employees on their pension.

The retired employees have yet not been paid their pensions for almost a year from February 2018 thus causing great problems for them.

Talking to the reporter here, the retired employees alleged that the payment of pensions to them has delayed because of the presence of some incompetent employees within the department.

It may be reminded, the Supreme Court has directed to release the pension within three months.

Since the retired employees have yet not received their pensions, it is a clear violation of the orders of the apex court.

The retired employees also said that soon they will file a PIL in the Meghalaya High Court.
