Govt to take stringent measures to prevent question paper leak: Rymbui

Shillong, Mar 12: Education Minister, Lahkmen Rymbui on Tuesday said that the fact finding team enquiring into the leakage of question papers of the Meghalaya Teacher’s Eligibility Test (MTET) apart from probing whether there was such a leakage will also look into how to prevent such incidents in the future.

Congress legislator from Rajabala, Dr Azad Zaman expressed concern that although the the fact finding team was given 12 days time to complete the probe are yet to submit it even as he said that if the team fails to nab or complete the probe it should be handed over to the CBI.

Earlier, Rymbui informed that faculties from the Directorate of Education Research and Training, District Institute of Education and Training, college lecturers and school teachers set the question papers.

The question papers were printed at Neicom Impression, East Bye Lane 18, RGB Road, Guwahati.

The Education Minister also informed that the question papers were brought from the press under security cover and kept for safe custody till despatch to different centres at the strong room of Directiorate of Education Research and Training with tight security.

Rymbui also said that the department is waiting for the enquiry report before taking a decision.
