LS Polls: Mukul, Sanbor files nominations for Tura and Shillong

SHILLONG, Mar 25: Former chief minister Dr. Mukul Sangma and Sanbor Shullai on Monday filed their nominations papers for the April 11 Lok Sabha elections.

The state with sixty assembly constituencies has two Lok Sabha seats – Shillong and Tura.

The former chief minister and leader of opposition in the Meghalaya Legislative Assembly filed his nomination papers as Congress nominee of Tura seat before the returning officer Ram Singh.

Sanbor who is the sitting legislator of South Shillong filed his papers as BJP candidate before the returning officer Abhishek Bhagotia of Shillong parliamentary seat.
