Shillong, Jun 11: Meghalaya on Friday recorded ten more Covid-19 deaths taking the total case count to 714.
According to Health department officials, in the last 24 hours the state recorded 514 new cases and 526 persons recovered from the virus.
With the latest figures, the state has 4993 active cases and a total of 35393 has so far recovered from the virus.
Of the ten new deaths, seven were recorded in East Khasi Hills district and one each in Ri-Bhoi, West Jaintia Hills and West Garo Hills districts.
Of the 514 new cases, East Khasi Hills recorded 183, West Garo Hills 90, West Jaintia Hills 71, South West Khasi Hills 43, North Garo Hills 35, East Garo Hills 29, West Khasi Hills 27, South West Garo Hills 15, East Jaintia Hills nine, Ri-Bhoi and South Garo Hills six each.
The district wise distribution of the active cases are – East Khasi Hills 1877, West Garo Hills 741, West Jaintia Hills 644, Ri-Bhoi 350, South West Khasi Hills
279, South West Garo Hills 259, North Garo Hills 228, West Khasi Hills 181, East Garo Hills 173, East Jaintia Hills 143 and South Garo Hills 118.
