SHILLONG, Aug 22: Meghalaya has recorded another COVID-19 death, taking the number to seven.
According to Director of Health Services (MI), Dr. Aman Warr, the deceased, Ram Bashan Rai (58) of Jhalupara Cantonment expired at 10:45 am on Friday night.
Dr. Warr said that the deceased was referred to Civil Hospital, from Woodland Hospital on August 11.
“He had acute respiratory distress syndrome due to COVID-19,” the Director of Health Services said.
Dr. Warr also said that he had other ailments like diabetes and hypertension.
