Meghalaya records two more deaths and 117 fresh Covid cases

SHILLONG, NOV 21: Meghalaya on Saturday recorded two more deaths due to Covid taking the toll to 108 even as 117 fresh cases were registered and 78 persons recovered from the virus.

Director of Health Services (MI), Dr. Aman War informed that with the new cases the number of active ones is now 925 and 10236 persons have recovered so far.

He informed that the two deaths registered today was from East Khasi Hills. The total number of fatalities in East Khasi Hills has risen to 89.

Dr. War informed that of the 117 new cases 53 were recorded in East Khasi Hills, 47 in West Garo Hills, eight from East Garo Hills, five from South West Garo Hills, two from East Jaintia Hills and one each from Ri-Bhoi and West Khasi Hills.

Of the 78 new recovered cases – 24 were recorded in East Khasi Hills, 20 East Garo Hills, twelve West Garo Hills, nine in West Jaintia Hills, seven in Ri-Bhoi, three in East Jaintia Hills, two in South West Garo Hills, and one in North Garo Hills.
