Shillong, June 6: Meghalaya government on Saturday informed that a total of 10,343 samples have been tested for COVID-19 till date, out of which 9980 tested negative and the results of 330 samples are awaited.
The state has recorded 33 cases, 19 are active COVID-19 patients, 13 patients have recovered and 1 death.
Meghalaya Chief Minister Conrad Sangma informed that till 2 pm today, 13,509 people have returned to the state.
He said that registration of all returnees from outside the state is mandatory through the Corona Web App.
“All returnees will have to undergo temperature screening, Rapid Test Kit and RT PCR if they have come from high risk areas outside the state,” he said.
Further, for those whose transportation is arranged by the state, he said that they are being kept at quarantine facilities until their results are out.
It was also informed that one pig died at Mawiong Umjapung, Mawlai but the cause of the death wasn’t revealed.
