Miscreants pelt stones at Byrnihat sub-station
SHILLONG, Aug 7: Unknown miscreants in the wee hours of Wednesday pelted stones at the Byrnihat sub-station in Ri-Bhoi district.
In the FIR filed by the authorities of the Meghalaya Power Distribution Corporation Limited (MePDCL), it was informed that on Wednesday, at around 12 to 12:30 midnight miscreants continuously pelted stones damaging the window panes of the control room.
As per the FIR filed by the MePDCL the pelting of stones by miscreants could have resulted in serious injuries to the staffs who were on duty as well as damaging crucial components housed in the control room.
Urging police to nab the culprits, the MePDCL said that this would be in the interest of the safety of the sub-station.
