“We really don’t know whether the MHA (Ministry of Home Affairs) is calling the shot or the Chief Minister office which is calling the shots or the office of the Home Minister of the State which is calling the shot,” Dr Sangma told reporters on Tuesday.
According to the opposition leader this demonstrates the lack of competency level of the National People’s Party led Meghalaya Democratic Alliance Government.
Dr Sangma also expressed concern over people from outside coming into the state and making statements.
“I am also looking at the government (being) pro active in making people from outside come and give all kinds of statement allowing them to go and meet those people and give all kinds of statements,” he added.
The Congress leader also said that he will demand that they get all the statements recorded and if there is any event of inflammatory statement given by those visiting whether they are representing certain political parties or groups, the law must prevail.
“It is a very dangerous trend and the way I see it there is too much of intervention coming from MHA multiple authorities is acting on it,” Dr Sangma said.
