ITANAGAR, Jan 12: National People’s Party (NPP) national president Conrad Kongkal Sangma has said that his party is keen to contest the Lok Sabha (LS) from all the 24 seats in the region.
“The NPP is keen to contest all the 24 seats in the Lok Sabha in different states of the Northeast,” Conrad told reporters in Itanagar.
On Friday, while briefing the media, Conrad said that NPP would pitch as many candidates in the LS elections as well in the state assembly elections.
“That’s the only way to ensure that our voice is heard,” he added.
The chief minister of Meghalaya Conrad Sangma including Manipur Deputy CM Yumnam Joy Kumar Singh and Meghalaya Home Minister James K Sangma, besides others are attending the state executive meeting in Itanagar.
