Shillong, Feb 6: The State is again seeing a spike in the number of COVID-19 cases, health authorities informed.
On Saturday, the State recorded 24 new cases and only three recovered from the virus.
Director of Health Services (MI), Dr. Aman War informed that of the 24 new cases all were from East Khasi Hills and the three recovered cases were also from the district.
Dr. War informed that with the new cases detected on Saturday, the number of new cases has against crossed the three figure marks and now stands at 102. The total recovered cases in the state is 13596.
East Khasi Hills district remains the most affected with 70 active cases.
The number of persons tested for COVID-19 till Saturday afternoon is 3, 44, 070 out of which 3, 30, 225 samples were negative.
The total number of persons who have entered Meghalaya since restrictions on travelling were eased is 89,599.
