Nongpoh, Feb 22: Ten days Skill Course—Soft Skills and Personality Development in Ri Bhoi College in association with Avenues and mobilised by Ri Bhoi College Alumni Association was inaugurated on Monday.
The programme Avenues, Aspire Meghalaya is a ten days long soft skills, coaching and talent identification programme for the youth of Meghalaya supported by Ministry of Tribal Affairs, Government of India and Department of Arts & Culture, Government of Meghalaya.
Speaking on the occasion, Managing Director of Avenues highlighted the initiatives taken by the Ministry of Tribal Affairs for the benefit of youth and building a progressive future society with higher levels of intellect and skills.
“The government focus that every citizen and youth of the State is productive; it is not the quantity but the quality that matters. Be the best you can to contribute to the society, the State, the country and Mother Earth,” Laitphlang said.
Kyrmenlang Uriah, President of RBCAA assured to render all support to this programme.
He said that the students have the caliber in them but it needs to be nurtured and brought out with the right guidance.
RBCAA president also said that no one makes it through this world alone, so learning to will help you get where you need to be in life and it’s definitely a learned skill.
Also present on the occasion were the Teachers of the college, trainers of this initiative and the members of the Alumni association.
Daphisha Kharhujon (Campus partnership lead & senior lifeskills coach), Darikupar Kharwar (Senior llifeskills coach) along with Saphira Rani (Senior trainer) will coordinate the entire programme of 20 hours duration.
