Tripura CM: Congress allegations on Rafale deal an international conspiracy

SHILLONG, Dec 17: Tripura Chief Minister, Biplab Kumar Deb on Monday slammed Congress president Rahul Gandhi who had tried to corner the NDA government on the Rafale issue.

Boosted by the Supreme Court ruling which ruled it has no objection to any part of the Rafale deal, the BJP on Monday held several press conferences all over the country.

The BJP held 70 press conferences, saying the Congress was conspiring against Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

“The accusation of the Congress on the Rafale deal is an international conspiracy,” Dey alleged while addressing a press conference in Shillong.

He however, could not specify who were these international hands involved in spreading lies against the NDA government and Modi.

The BJP said these press conferences will “expose” the Congress for “plotting conspiracy” against Prime Minister Narendra Modi and his government.

It may be mentioned last week the court dismissed petitions seeking a court-monitored probe into the deal. The petitions had alleged that rules were overlooked while signing the Rafale deal.

The Tripura Chief Minister also asked the AICC president to ask sorry from the citizens of the country for spreading lies against the NDA government.

“He tried to defame India before the whole world,” Dey alleged.
