SHILLONG, Apr 30: Two more COVID-19 cases in Meghalaya tested negative for the virus on Thursday.
“Two more positive cases who are being treated at Civil Hospital, Shillong, have tested negative today and they are in the process of recovery,” Chief Minister, Conrad K. Sangma in a tweet said.
The Chief Minister also said that these two who tested negative will have to be tested again after 24 hours as per protocol to declare them as recovered.
So far out of the 11 active cases, 10 have tested negative so far.
On Wednesday, eight immediate family members of the renowned physician and philanthropist Dr. John L. Sailo Ryntathiang, who succumbed to the contagious virus yielded negative for COVID-19.
It may be mentioned that Meghalaya recorded the first COVID-19 positive case on April 13, that of Dr. John L Sailo Ryntathiang , the Director of the Bethany hospital, he succumbed to the virus within 48 hours of contracting it.
The state has not recorded any positive cases since April 20.The first case was recorded on April 13.
