SHILLONG, Oct 17: Wanlura Diengdoh, Judicial Officer, has been appointed as Judge of Meghalaya High Court.
His appointment was considered by the Supreme Court Collegium in its meeting held on October 15.
Diengdoh is the second Khasi to be appointed as Justice of the Meghalaya High Court.
It may be mentioned that earlier this year, HS Thangkhiew was the first Khasi to be appointed as the Justice of the Meghalaya High Court.
Meanwhile, AK Mittal, the current Chief Justice of Meghalaya High Court has been appointed as Chief Justice of the Madhya Pradesh High Court.
In his place, Mohammad Rafiq, Justice of Rajasthan High Court has been elevated as Chief Justice of Meghalaya High Court.
